The Birmingham business community is pleased to host a business luncheon kindly sponsored and supported by The BABC Midlands, The Birmingham City Council, The Birmingham Chamber of Commerce/UKTI, and The Birmingham Law Society honouring US Ambassador, Louis B. Susman during his first visit to Birmingham.
Ambassador Susman will speak on the current political and economic issues that affect the US/UK transatlantic relationship and will also touch on his experience of working in Chicago. We believe that Ambassador Susman's remarks will be of interest to the many professionals in the Birmingham business community involved in US/UK trade and especially those who will participate in the Business and Professional Services Market Visit to Chicago in March 2010.
Prior to his appointment in London at the Court of St. James on 17th August 2009, Ambassador Susman was the Vice Chairman of Citigroup Corporate and Investment banking. He is also a former member of the Citigroup International Advisory Board. Prior to joining Salomon Brothers, Inc. in June 1989, Ambassador Susman practiced law in the City of St. Louis for 27 years and was a senior partner at the St. Louis based law firm of Thompson & Mitchell.
