Come and Celebrate our 50th Anniversary! Let us take you back to Scotland! Massed bagpipe bands, Highland dancers, brawny athletes tossing giant telephone-pole sized logs, international entertainers on stage, Scottish fiddlers, Celtic harpists and a big Scottish fair are some of the numerous activities scheduled for the world-famous event.
With over twenty top-grade bagpipe bands on hand, one of the highlights is the massed band performance at the noon Welcoming Ceremony at which more than 400 pipers play as one. Each year internationally famous musical groups perform, with MacTalla Mor headlining the show. The Mickeys, the Gaelic Mod singers from Scotland, and Celtic Harper Sue Richards will also be performing.
Visit the Scottish shops, which offer a wide selection of imported woolens, jewelry, hand-crafted Celtic artifacts and delicious baked goods. Enjoy the Scottish-breed dog exhibit, including the popular sheep dog herding demonstration. Visit our website at www.ligoniergames.org for more details and a downloadable schedule of events!
