LONDON

More than 300 delegates, representing more than 20 of the BABC’s chapters, came together for the BABC’s Annual Transatlantic Business Conference, Strategies for Success, 2010-2020, held in London from May 12-14, 2010.

30 leading Chief Executives, opinion-formers and industry experts participated in the discussions, including the CEOs of Allied Healthcare, AstraZeneca, BAE Systems, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and Willis Group; the Editor-in-Chief of the Economist, Editor-in-Chief/Europe for the Wall Street Journal, Assistant Editor of the Financial Times and London Bureau Chief for the New York Times; and the Senior Partner of McKinsey as well as the US Ambassador to the UK and CEO of UK Trade & Investment.

‘We are delighted that so many BABC members, from throughout the BABC network, could join us for this superb Conference’, commented Robin Hayes, President of the BABC and Chief Commercial Officer for JetBlue. ‘The business and social programs were outstanding, the networking opportunities were tremendous, and the feedback has been hugely positive – our participants clearly greatly enjoyed and benefitted from the experience.’

The business agenda of the Conference focused on analyzing how companies in 8 leading business sectors could best take advantage of the opportunities – and contend with the challenges – of the coming decade. The social program included a Reception at the Royal Academy of the Arts and a Gala Dinner at historic Lancaster House, the venue for G7 Summits, the Zimbabwe Independence Negotiations and other major international meetings.
