BABC ANNUAL TRANSATLANTIC BUSINESS CONFERENCE, 2008
“Connectivity in a Transatlantic World”

The BABC held its Annual Transatlantic Business Conference for 2008, “Connectivity in a The Transatlantic World”, in Chicago from April 23-25, 2008. The Title Sponsor was British Airways.

Its 09 Conference will be held from April 29-May 1, 2009, in Washington, DC.

The ’08 Conference program focused on a number of key connectivity issues including branding, emerging technologies and social media, the evolving trust landscape and intercontinental customer connections. Speakers included senior executives from a number of leading multinational companies, as well as HM Ambassador to the United States and the Deputy Chief of the US Embassy in London.

The Conference also offered extensive opportunities for business networking with members from 21 of the BABC’s 23 chapters and several of its affiliates.

At its Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Meeting on April 26, BABC President, David Kay, delivered his report to BABC members. David was re-elected to a second year’s term as BABC President and Robin Hayes was elected as BABC Vice-President.

The BABC’s previous two Conferences were held in Los Angeles (’07) and London (’06).

“I have found the BABC’s Annual Conferences to be extremely beneficial – for both me and my company. They have provided me with great opportunities to network and establish useful business relationships with major business partners and with smaller firms whom my company is considering for services here in the United States – as well as with plenty of interesting activities for the family while I attend the meetings. I would strongly endorse any BABC member to take advantage of the opportunity to attend a BABC Conference.”
